Dr Erin Parks: The Importance of Research Treatment that Works

In this episode Millie chats to Dr Erin Parks. Erin is a clinical psychologist, researcher, and co-founder of Equip, a virtual eating disorder program that delivers evidence-based treatment for lasting recovery. Erin has over 15 years experience with adolescents and adults in inpatient, partial hospitalisation and intensive outpatient settings, where she has experienced first-hand the disparity in who gets diagnosed and who has access to quality treatment, which is why she co-founded Equip: to disseminate the treatment that works (not just feels good) to everyone with an eating disorder.

They discuss her own eating disorder journey, her invaluable work at the The UC San Diego Eating Disorder Centre, the value of eating disorder research, the importance of treatment that works (not just feels good) and why Equip is such a game changer for eating disorder treatment.
